The Barracuda Webring is the best place to find links related to these wonderful cars, as well as The Mopar Webring, but some of my favourite Barracuda sites are not part of the ring. They are listed below.
New Parts | Used Parts | Interiors | Wreckers | Products | Radios | Ottawa | Canada | Contacts
The Early Barracuda Homepage
Home of the my saviour, "The Early Barracuda Mailing List", this site has a wealth of information. Yes it's part of the webring, but I had to put it in here. VIN decoding, Option Codes, Production Numbers...you name it, it's on there!
The Early Barracuda FORUM
A discussion forum just for us!
The Bacaruda
Part of the webring too, this car inspired Lisa and I. If you haven't seen this car, go there now! Excellent website with lots of pictures.
Aussie Cuda
A US made 65 Barracuda in Australia, getting restored with Australian AP6 Valiant parts! Check it out!
German Cuda
Nice site about Barracudas, if you speak German!
1962 to 1965 Mopar Website
There is so much stuff here I still haven't seen it all! Excellent resource!
Valiant Varieties
The Barracuda was a Valiant. This site is all about Valiants and A-bodies. There's a Barracuda link as well as others.
Mike's Pages
Mike has detailed information about Formula S exhaust systems. The only question left after seeing his pages is "Where can I get myself a resonator?"
Lee Herman's Mopar Page
About halfway down Lee's page is a hyperlink for "engine specifications", a valuable tool.
This is my 65 Cuda Page
Have you seen this orange Fish? It's absolutely wild!! And it's for sale!
AllPar
Everything Mopar...good links on engines and a little deeper in there's Barracuda stuff.
The 1965 Barracuda Survivor!
Unfortunately this site is gone...anyone know where it went!?
The Official Hemi Under Glass Website
The original is a 1965, but a few others have become famous. Interesting reading.
Australian Chryslers Webring
Early Valiants are big over there. Lots of interesting stuff on Hemi 6 cyl engines, Valiant Chargers and other weird stuff. In case you're wondering, a 1965 Valiant AP6 is pretty well the same as a 1965 Valiant over here.
Charles' Auto Page
I was surfing and found this guy (he lives near Ottawa too!). Biggest collection of automotive links I've ever seen!
Mopar Collectors Guide
Good magazine, the only one I subscribe to.
New Parts
Layson's Restorations
If you don't know Layson's, than you probably don't own an early Mopar. They have almost everything a '64-'66 Barracuda owner will need for their restoration, including all those impossible to find parts like lenses, seat foam, small bolt centers, weather-stripping, resonators, decals.....you name it! Used parts too.
Gary Goers
Weatherstipping? Rubber parts? Windlace? He's got lots of stuff!
Formula S resonators!
Yes, someone is actually producing one now! I had my own made for $80, but this one looks good too.
Suspension Restoration Parts Co.
If you need a bushing, go here! Easy site to navigate and even easier to get what you need fast! If you're not sure about what you need, call them, they're super friendly!
Doug's Headers
Headers, yes he has them for '64-'66 Barracudas! Do you have to cut your inner fender? I don't know...you tell me!?
Spitfire Headers
Hand made and everyone says they're great! $175 and apparently the waiting time is only 3 weeks now.
Firm Feel Inc.
Got my replacement Formula S 16:1 steering box here....they know what they are doing!
Control Cables
Apparently they can make any cable, including our elusive 64-65 auto tranny shift cables.
Inline Tube
More cables, even emergency brake cables for us!
Coker Tire
Vintage tires. Some people swear by them.
Mickey Thompson Tire
More Vintage tires. Some people swear by them.
Stainless Steel Brakes
Well...what are you waiting for?
Gas Tanks
Need a new gas tank or part?
Used Parts
Moparts on the Web
Home of the Mopar On-Line Swap Meet, one of the best Mopar bulletin boards around! Lots of dealers with used parts, lots of early Barracuda stuff.
Swapman.com
Some kinda car auction site, Mopar stuff, but I've never bought anything from here yet!
The Swap Zone
There's some Mopar stuff, but it doesn't seem to get as much traffic as the Mopar On-Line Swap Meet!
Mopar Classified - Photoads
All Mopar, all the time! Lots of early Barracuda/Valiant stuff!
Hub-Caps
Click on the Chrysler menu option (on the left) and you'll find pictures of every hub-cap ever made!
Interiors
Auto Custom Carpets Inc.
Considered by most Mopar enthusiasts to be the best carpeting around!
Just Dashes
They restore anything that is Thermo-Vacuum formed, like dashes, arm-rests, door panels and consoles. Everyone recommends them, but they're not cheap!
Original Auto Interiors
Auto interiors, some NOS interiors and carpeting. Supposedly they're pretty good.
Mr. G's Enterprises
Barracuda owners tell me he does a real nice job re-chroming plastic...he does other stuff too!
Chrome Tech USA
Another plastic rechroming place.
PDQ Restorations
Another plastic rechroming place.
Gary's Steering Wheel Restoration
I did my woodgrained wheel myself, but I guess this guy could do an equally nice job. :-)
Wreckers
Texas Acres
Used parts for Chryslers, they have a lot of stuff!! If you can get through their "music", you can see for yourself!
Wildcat Auto Wrecking
A few wrecked Barracudas and Valiants, as well as other A-bodies.
Gilly's Auto Wreckers
Lots of Barracudas and Valiants, pictures of every one!
Desert Valley Auto Parts
Look at that picture! Arizona rust free cars...there MUST be some Barracudas in there....
Products and Services
Totally Auto
The only textured argent in a can (for rallye center caps) that you should use! Other paints and supplies too.....a contact you must have in your bookmarks!
Galen's Tag Service
Galen Govier is considered the acknowledged authority on the decoding of VIN, fender tag, and Broadcast Sheet Information for all Mopars.
POR-15
Restomotive Laboratories makes this stuff. It's black, it's hard, it's very sticky and messy, and it's supposed to last forever! I bought some, used it on the inside of the floor and on my battery tray...hasn't rusted through yet! Ask around, everyone says it's the best! I'm going to try their steering wheel resto kit next.
Mar-Hyde
Mar-Hyde is used by some Barracuda owners to keep that sun-baked rear cargo carpet looking like new. Haven't tried it myself.
MMS & Accessories
They sell stainless-steel everything! Bolts, nuts, rods, joints, clips, screws...you name it!
Steel Rubber Products Inc.
These guys have rubber parts for everything! Nice on-line catalog to let you look stuff up, but remember most of this stuff is available at Layson's.
Crow Custom Cast Welding
Just when you thought that zinc grill or hemi engine block was garbage you find this website!
Mopar Collectors Guide
The only magazine I currently subscribe to.
Radios and stuff
Antique Automobile Radio
I think these guys are the leaders in this field; they seem to supply PCB boards to other guys for conversions.
Radio and Tachometer repair
Where did this guy go? Anyone know? This guy fixes radios and tachometers, that's all I know. Someone pointed me to this guy, but I don't remember who, but he must be good.
Antique Car Radio
Turn your old radio into a new radio, with new brand-name guts!
Bob's Radio & Television
Radio restoration, add FM to your AM radio, radios for sale...stuff like that. Some of the same services as Antique Car Radio.
Tayman Electrical
Another radio conversion place. Don't know what they are like, but has good information.
Ottawa Links
Mopar Experience
Lots of good links and a section on gas prices!!
Capital Area Mopars
A very important site for Ottawa! I happen to be the webmaster!
The Motorsport Club of Ottawa
I'm not a member, but I thought this is interesting. I'll have to read more about it and get back to you! :-)
The Antique Automobile Club of Ottawa
They host "Autorama", our local rod/muscle/classic car show that happens every year. My dream is to have my Barracuda in there one day!
The Cruise Night
The official web page of the Ottawa muscle car cruise nights.
Mark Wilhelm's Web Page
This guy I know loves links....in fact his whole site is nothing but links! Major pile of Ottawa links!
Canada Links
Bricklin International
Nothing to do with Barracudas, but I've always loved the Canadian built "Bricklin". There were 2857 built (or 2854 depending who you talk to). A great car, the Canadian Museum of Civilization has one in their collection.
Canadian Driver
Pick "Web Directory" along the left menu for all kinds of stuff all over Canada, lots of Ottawa stuff!
Northern Mopars
Canadian Mopar club. Lots of links to Canadian Mopar things...
My Contacts
A lot of people have helped bring the Voracious Fish back to life, here they are:
Al Heron Sales and Service
2701 HWY 31
Gloucester, Ontario
(613)521-3246
|
The guys at Al's (Al, Norm and Dave) are my chief mechanics. They've been in the same location since 1969 and know what they're doing. Primarily a GM shop, they've all become a little more Mopar since working on the Barracuda. Without them I would have one dead fish!
|
Dom's Auto Body Ltd.
Established 1973
Gloucester, Ontario
(613)826-2971
|
Dom has a '68 Barracuda. It's seen better days, but he knows his shit. Al and everyone else recommended him, so he's been hired to fix my K-frame, front valance, floor and will probably paint the Voracious Fish one day when I have the moola!
|
Capital Auto Glass
Rick Staples
1-3553 St-Joseph Blvd
Orleans, Ontario
(613)852-8141
|
Rick knows his glass, in fact removing the windshield and rear glass and re-installing them was like clockwork to him! He'll come right to your door.
|
King's Parts
|
Ian sold me the rallyes and some other stuff. He's got a nice big garage full of Mopar stuff and he's cheap too! He seems to like Darts, you should have seen the gold '68 /6 he just sold!
|
Automotive Restoration Supply
3917 Cedar Grove Rd. RR #3
Prescott, Ontario
(613)925-5863
|
Helga Keller sells carpeting, windlace (correct A-Body 5/8" stuff), body panels, headliners, paint, etc. She's the local Mopar shop (other makes too) and can get just about anything.
|
Terry Leonard Sandblasting & Painting
2580 Del Zotto
Gloucester, Ontario
(613)822-4195
|
$20 (Canadian dollars) each to sandblast and prime my rallyes. Enough said.
